Now more than ever, “skilling up” in technology has become essential in the legal workplace. With hybrid and remote working and the transition to digital, your law firm’s proficiency in using software applications has become critical to ensuring that clients receive the level of service they expect. Firms that have strong foundational competencies will also be better positioned to take advantage of new AI-assisted tools as they become more mainstream.
The challenge that firms now face is: How can your organization align its training programs with the baseline competencies required? How can firms ensure that their diverse user communities – lawyers, paralegals, secretaries, admins – have the skills they need to be making the most of the software tools they use day to day?
The LTC4 – the Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition – was formed in 2010 to define a global industry standard for law firms. This week, LTC4 has announced the LTC4 Vendor Alliance – a collaborative effort by Harbor, Savvy, Intellek, and iTrain to simplify the process for firms to get certification.
Harbor works with firms to align their training programs with industry-standard LTC4 learning plans. Our e-learning and training materials are aligned with LTC4 core competencies, so that the firm’s training team can focus on deploying and delivering training programs rather than creating materials from scratch.
For firms that don’t have the bandwidth, Harbor also works with firm leadership to supplement in-house resources with our expert legal trainers for ongoing new hire and skill-up training. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss your firm’s needs in driving adoption and utilization, or explore our managed training services.
