Finding the right opportunity
When Amanda moved from Brazil to the United States, she had years of experience in business intelligence but faced the challenge of learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. She took an administrative role while building her confidence in English, determined to return to the profession she loved.
Then one evening she spotted a Harbor opportunity on LinkedIn.
"It felt like the job description had been written for me."
The interview process moved quickly, and before long Amanda had found exactly what she had been looking for, a chance to build her career doing meaningful work with a team that shared her ambition.
Amanda helps clients transform complex data into meaningful business insights.
Turning data into decisions
Amanda's role is about making data useful. Working with corporate legal departments, she helps clients bring together information from multiple systems and transform it into dashboards and reporting that support better decisions.
Her goal is simple: spend less time trying to understand the data and more time acting on it.
"We help clients bring clarity to their business through data."
One client interaction remains especially memorable. During a renewal discussion, a senior leader made it clear there was no question about continuing the partnership because of the trust Amanda and the team had built.
"That was incredibly rewarding. It showed they trusted us to keep delivering value."
Whether it's helping clients understand budgets, identify opportunities, or save time, Amanda enjoys seeing the direct impact her work has on their day-to-day decisions.
Growing alongside others
As Amanda progressed into leadership, success took on a different meaning. Instead of focusing solely on her own development, she began measuring success by the growth of those around her.
"It's not just about me anymore. My team needs to succeed."
Supporting a new team member, balancing client commitments and learning to think more strategically challenged Amanda to develop a completely new mindset. Today she spends just as much time thinking about people and the future of the product as she does solving technical problems.
She also believes Harbor creates an environment where people can build long-term careers through opportunity, collaboration and trust.
"You don't need to keep changing jobs to grow. If you work hard and create value, the opportunities come."
Outside of work, Amanda never forgets where her journey began. Every promotion, achievement and Harbor milestone is shared with her biggest supporter, her father in Brazil, who proudly celebrates each success from thousands of miles away. His encouragement continues to remind Amanda why taking a chance on a new beginning was worth it.
