Calm waters and a clear horizon
A team ethos runs deep in Declan’s blood. Raised among six siblings and two golden retrievers in Ireland, he enjoys being part of a close-knit team and working harmoniously among others.
Now based in London, he has swapped daily sea swims on the brisk Irish coast for sauna sessions and cold plunges. This is how he keeps a calm and clear mind despite his fast-paced role where there is never a dull moment.
Declan helps some of our biggest law firm clients to deploy Intapp applications successfully by managing data integration across connected systems. It requires a focused mind, autonomous working plus a willingness to collaborate with others, since our organizational structure brings you into contact with both familiar and new faces across multiple projects.
"My manager is so supportive. I’ve got short- and long-term goals which keep me really motivated. It’s crystal clear what I’m aiming for, and what success looks like – both for my professional development and for our clients.”
Inspiring the next generation
Declan recently volunteered during our worldwide Harbor Day of Service, working at the Light Project International in London, a charitable organization that focuses on education and training as well as community services which on the day involved a food and clothing bank. A session ran where Declan shared insights about his education and early career journey to aspiring computer science students for a youth program.
“As much as I like the challenge of technical environments, I also like to feel I’m making a difference beyond the office. I want to be constantly challenged, work alongside talented people, and have a meaningful impact far and wide.”
Swimming to success
As a developer helping clients operate more efficiently, Declan appreciates the need to sleep well and keep fit, to be as focused as possible. At the end of a busy day, he heads for a dip in the ice baths.
If you’re looking to give your mind and body a boost, join Declan at his local gym. And don’t forget to ask for his top 10 tips for improving sleep. Who knew there were so many ambient sounds for sleep to help you achieve top form?
