Wilson Allen, a market-leading technology consultancy serving many of the world’s largest law firms and professional services organizations, announced today it has acquired the Intapp-solutions practice group of Vermont-based software and services company Aurora North.
Wilson Allen’s acquisition of the Aurora North Intapp practice further strengthens Renovus Capital Partners’ legal services portfolio, which also includes LAC Group and HBR Consulting.
Wilson Allen Chief Strategy Officer Norm Mullock says the acquisition significantly expands its capabilities and the number of Intapp specialists in Wilson Allen, making it the largest provider of Intapp OnePlace services and expertise in North America and the UK.
Intapp is a leading global provider of cloud-based software solutions including Intapp OnePlace, a client and engagement lifecycle management solution purpose-built for professional services firms, enabling them to transform their most critical business operations.
Mullock says, “Intapp solutions have been widely adopted by large law, accounting, and consulting firms, and the Wilson Allen and Aurora North teams have worked with a very high proportion of these. We’re excited to make this further, significant investment in Intapp skills and resources, responding to our customers’ appetite for access to broader expertise in the Intapp OnePlace software solutions.
“Wilson Allen now has specialist expertise in all the Intapp OnePlace solutions. In addition to implementation projects, we’re working with customers to optimize their use of Intapp OnePlace, helping to drive higher adoption, build better integration and analytics, migrate to cloud, and improve operational processes.”
The 27-member Intapp team from Aurora North will join Wilson Allen’s specialist practice teams – Financial Systems, Intapp, Martech, Data & Analytics, Training & Adoption – that collectively form the Technology Services group. Curtis Russell, formerly Chief Operating Officer at Aurora North, is taking up the new role of Managing Director in the leadership team of Wilson Allen’s Technology Services group. In addition to onboarding Aurora North’s consultants, Wilson Allen will also adopt that team’s specialist Intapp implementation methodologies and service offerings.
Following the Intapp team’s move to Wilson Allen, the remaining Aurora North IP Software and Services division will continue supporting innovative Intellectual Property (IP) practices through its market-leading PracticeLink IP practice management software and IP practice advisory services, which have also seen breakout growth in recent years.
Aurora North founder and principal, Chris Kave, says the sale of the Intapp practice creates tremendous opportunities for Aurora North’s clients and team members:
“Over the past fifteen years, Aurora North established the largest and most experienced team of Intapp specialists certified across the entire Intapp product portfolio. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved – our expertise, our service quality standards and methods have consistently delivered success for our clients. This group will thrive as part of Wilson Allen, integrating the efficient and client-focused delivery models that have defined our teams within a broader portfolio of service capabilities.
“I have great respect for the teams at Wilson Allen. Together we co-founded the Professional Services Partner Alliance; our shared goal for the Alliance was to accelerate the growth of the ecosystem around Intapp applications. This acquisition will now enable Wilson Allen to take things to the next level. I’m truly excited about the opportunities this will create for our former employees, and for our customers.”
Rob Corrao, Chief Executive of Wilson Allen and LAC Group, says expanding the services related to Intapp solutions is a strategic investment area for the group.
Corrao says, “Intapp OnePlace is now one of the pre-eminent technology platforms used by professional services firms. To make the most of this platform, customers are telling us they’re looking for new options in terms of Intapp services. This acquisition of the Aurora North team signals that we’re making a strategic investment – adding best-in-class talent, developing new service standards, and launching new services. Our goal is to ensure our Intapp practice is the clear leader in providing Intapp-related services to professional firms to optimize their use of Intapp technology and data.”
