He has 30 years of professional experience working with corporate legal executives, their law departments and their law firms, improving legal, risk and cost management performance. His experience covers a wide spectrum of corporations - in both industry sectors and size - specializing in litigation discovery and law department management services, focusing on the strategic use of technology, people, and process.
He provides strategic solutions to issues such as legal hold management, forensically sound data acquisition, instituting standard processes, vendor evaluation and selection, complex litigation reviews, and enterprise-wide discovery program consistency. He has also led many successful projects to help legal teams create effective team structures and partnership models with providers and outside counsel. With his expertise and hands-on experience in electronic discovery on behalf of corporations, he is regarded as one of the top experts in the country because of the impact he and his teams have had on substantive process change and measurable financial results.
Jim’s assistance to corporate legal departments extends into organizational design, workload analysis, financial management and analysis, and broader operational technology design and implementation. These projects have routinely brought greater efficiency to the in-house legal teams, enhanced partnerships with internal departments and outside providers, and reduced costs to the business.
