Is your firm ready for iManage AI?
Terry Coan, Director of Information Governance at Harbor discusses the preparation necessary for firms to take advantage of the AI enhancements to the iManage Knowledge Work platform. Key steps include consolidating content into the repository and migrating to iManage Cloud.
He then discusses the potential benefits of forthcoming iManage features enabled by AI, including the iManage Mailbox Assistant which improves automated tagging of emails to the appropriate client matter workspace. Another expected improvement is retrievability of documents, resulting from the ability to "look into" additional data elements contained within each document.
The partnership between Microsoft and iManage will also benefit iManage users. For example, the ability to activate Power Automate from within iManage where lawyers are working regularly will help to enforce more consistent processes and support the user experience more effectively.
David Lampert from Cadwalader underscores the importance of staying on top of vendor partner activity, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem. Contributing feedback within the iManage user community can have a significant impact on the future roadmap and help to improve future functionality, integrations, and security.
Finally, returning to themes discussed in Part 2, Terry Coan explains that failure to address electronic records retention issues ahead of moving to the cloud can be unnecessarily costly – and that pointing AI to "garbage" exposes the firm to risk.
This is the third in a four-part series, from the Harbor webinar "iManage Cloud and AI Readiness: Key Considerations for Migration, Governance and Adoption".
