Harbor CEO Matt Sunderman told Legaltech News that adding a technology training provider represented a way to help clients achieve a greater return on the technology investments they are already making and implementing with Harbor’s assistance.
“As we look out into the future, we want to make sure that our clients get the most out of their technology investments,” Sunderman said. “It’s a huge need that we see in the market, and will help to justify the return on investment that all of our clients are making in adding those technologies to improve both the business and practice of law.”
He added that technology training will become increasingly important for legal organizations given the rapid proliferation of new generative artificial intelligence-powered tools.
Encoretech proved particularly appealing because its broader array of offerings will allow Harbor to provide varied levels of service depending on client needs.
“We can do it on a bespoke level, so we can do the training on just one specific platform or one technology, or we could do it on a persistent basis, where we have training-as-a-service...That was one of the pieces we were most excited about...training as a service, de facto managed service around training needs throughout the journey.”
